Standard Sequences
Learn what the Standard Sequences is and how you use it in the Corsmed MRI Simulator.
Access the Standard Sequences
- Open the Corsmed MRI Simulator.
- Click Add pulse sequence.
- Select Standard Sequences.
Standard Sequences overview
The Standard Sequences contains more than 20 pre-built MRI pulse sequences, with new sequences continuously added by Corsmed. These sequences are organized into 2D and 3D categories and form the core building blocks of MRI imaging.
For each pulse sequence, you can review:
- A clear description of the sequence design and properties
- Common clinical applications
- A vendor equivalents list, showing the corresponding sequence names used by Siemens, GE, Philips, Canon, and Fujifilm
This vendor-neutral approach helps both experienced and new MRI professionals easily recognize and translate pulse sequences across different MRI systems.
Add a standard sequence
- Select the pulse sequence you want to use.
- Click Add.

The sequence will now appear in your working list, and is ready for parameter adjustment and scanning.
Standard Sequences are not optimized for any specific body part or exam. They include default parameter values and are intended as a starting point for building your own sequences or protocols from scratch.
Conclusion
You've learned what the Standard Sequences are, how to access it, and how to use standard pulse sequences as a foundation for your MRI workflows in the Corsmed MRI Simulator.
