Use the Isocenter

Use the Isocenter tool to move within a total body model and generate new scout images for the body area you want to scan.

Before you start

The Isocenter tool is available for Male Body (segmented tissues, optional MI pathology).

Open the Isocenter

  1. Start the Corsmed MRI Simulator from the Dashboard or from a module.
  2. In the simulator header, click Tools.
  3. Hover over Isocenter.
  4. Select one of the options:
    • Whole body: allows you to choose specific areas
    • Regions: allows you to choose specific body parts

This only sets which tab opens by default. You can switch between Whole body and Regions inside the Isocenter at any time.

Choose your area of interest

  1. Select Whole body if you want to choose an area from the full-body view.
  2. Select Regions if you want to choose a specific body part.
  3. Click Save to apply your selection.

Run the new scout images

  1. After saving, you will see three new scout images for the area you selected.
  2. Click Run all in the Pulse Sequence List to run the scout images.
  3. Drag the scout images into your viewports to review them.

Start scanning

  1. Add a pulse sequence.
  2. Begin scanning using your new scout images.
