In this short article we will review the basic functionalities to navigate the viewers of the simulator (windowing, zooming, panning, scrolling)
- Scroll through image stacks:
- Click the arrows (< and >) next to the image stack you want to scroll through.
- Zoom in/out:
- You will need to hold down the control and scroll in and out with the wheel of your mouse.
- If you are lost in the zooming, double click to go to the original position.
- Pan around:
- You will need to hold down the control and left button mouse click and drag around to pan your image.
- If you are lost in the panning, double click to go to the original position.
- Change the Window/Level for Contrast on an Image

- You will need to hold down the control and Alt/Option buttons (depending if on a Mac or on a Windows) at the same time, along with using your Arrow Keys side to side (grey levelling - windowing) and up and down (black and white contrast levelling - contrast).
- Alternatively to the arrow keys, you can also Control + Alt/Option buttons and right button mouse click and drag right/left (windowing) or up/down (contrast)
- There is no reset button to revert back to original.
Some Basic Commands to memorise
Scroll – Mouse or Arrow
Zoom – Control + Scroll
Pan – Control + Left Mouse Drag
Window/Level (iOS - Macbook) – Control & Option + Arrow Keys/Right Mouse click & drag.
Window/Level (Windows - Laptop) Control & Alt + Arrow Keys/Right Mouse click & drag.
Reset – Double Left Mouse Click
